Terrorist Bombing Attack in Bali -- Indonesia

As people streamed out, another, larger blast tore through the Sari Club, which caters mainly to international visitors and was jam packed with hundreds of revelers." October 14, 2002: CNN -- The U.S. State Department has ordered all nonessential U.S. employees and their families to leave Indonesia and is urging other Americans to do the same due to "increased security concerns" after two nightclub bombings in Bali killed more than 180 people. The United States also advises Americans to postpone travel to the country, according to an updated warning posted on the State Department's Web site Sunday."
"The Bali bombings came two days after the State Department issued an updated worldwide alert, calling on U.S. facilities to increase their security and warning of possible attacks against Americans and U.S. interests."

Commentary
Indonesia's birth chart shows a angular, Cardinal Grand Square¹ currently under mega-pressure from transiting Chiron of wounds and wounding at 4 Capricorn.
The Chironic wounding is made worse by transiting Capricorn Moon having passed over Indonesia's birth Sun and bomb-blast Chiron in the house of public enemies (7th) just hours before the two explosions.
Saturn links the victims to the event as they are symbolized by the Capricorn Moon's transit into the 8th house of death.
Chiron's Saturn ruler is at 19 Virgo in its 4th house and has been under the strain of the Saturn's transit through Gemini (the square aspect) for the last two years. Certainly, Indonesia's brutal hold and subsequent loss of East Timor is one case example of a Saturnine authoritarian grasp>
Saturn's retrograde of 2002 will take it back to 22 Gemini as of January 22, 2003, a scant two degrees shy of the third and final square to Indonesia's birth Saturn. By June 20, 2003, Saturn will reach 2 Cancer. The planet of rigidity and authority will conjoin Indonesia's radical, revolutionary Uranus in its first house and set off the above-mentioned Cardinal T-Square again. It goes without saying that since we know that Indonesia is a hot bed of Al Qaeda terrorism, deep and horrifying events will continue to erupt out of Southeast Asia.
Presently, transiting Saturn is already in Indonesia's first house at 29 Gemini. It is in square to lethal, explosive Transiting Mars at 28 Virgo in house 4 of Indonesia's natal chart. (The Mars-Saturn square was exact on Sunday, October 13, 2002 at 2:56 am EDT).
Mars and Saturn are known as the two "malefics" of the zodiac and when found in conjunction, square or opposition, violence (Mars) against authority (Saturn) and authoritarian reaction to violence, are to be expected. I call Mars and Saturn in square THE DEATH GRIP. Saturn struggles to hold on. Mars struggles to get free. Neither will give way. [The same forces are a powerful descriptor for the USA's East Coast sniper.]
Note that Mars at 28 Virgo squares the Moon's position for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the U.S. Pentagon (28 Gemini)². Authoritarian Saturn has just recently moved over the 28 degree sensitive degree marker and turned retrograde on October 11, 2002. Saturn will reach 28 degrees Gemini again on November 5, 2002, the day of the USA's midterm elections! We are still in the window, then, of escalating terrorist activity (i.e., U.S. Marines killed in Kuwait and the bombing of the French Ship)³.
The 7th house of public enemies is supercharged by transiting Pluto's conjunction to Indonesia's natal Chiron (15+ Sagittarius). This ideological and spiritual wounding lies at the midpoint between its natal Aquarian Venus and transiting Venus in revenge focused Scorpio. Mercury at 1 Libra (just out of retrograde status) delivers the message: explosion. Mercury's transiting conjunction to Indonesia's 4th house Mars in opposition to an Aries Moon equates to violent outbreaks on national soil.
The Venus connectioin(s) are critical because the Libra Sun for the date of the attacks is in the 5th house of recreation and pleasure. Explosions took place in two of Indonesia's most popular nightclubs. The Capricorn Moon (the Moon symbolizes people in mundane astrology) is in square to the Libra Sun and in square to the South Node (a lunar point associated with the energies of Mars and Saturn!) of endings. The Moon and the bombing Ascendant (12 Cancer) are: 1) in opposition to one another; 2) are in the degree of both Lunar Nodes (T-Square formation) describing a "fated event."
The 4th house of any house (the technique of house derivation) signfies the end of the matters as described by the house in question. If we count anticlockwise from house 5 to the cusp of house 8, house 8 represents the end of matters for 5th house pleasures. (House 5 is counted as "1"). As you can see, the cusp of house 5 is 12 Libra (Koch house system) and the Capricorn Moon in house 8 is 12 Capricorn in square to the South Node. Therefore, the end of the matter is shown by an 8th house "death" Moon in square (conflict) with the desire for a night of vacation fun. Neptune of disguise and the unknown is at the tail end of the 8th house. Its Uranus ruler indicates not only surprise, but a radical and explosive one against unwitting victims (Neptune). Indonesia's natal chart has Uranus at 2 Cancer in square to its natal Mars at 0 Libra. Mars-Uranus combinations are the classic descriptors of explosions and explosive, violent terrorist activity.
The Plan was well in place at the time the transiting Moon entered the sign Capricorn and opposed Uranus and squared Mars. This lethal T-square combination was supercharged at the time Luna crossed over T-Chiron, Indonesia's birth sun and hit 6 degrees Capricorn (Luna's square to Indonesia's birth Moon in Aries).
Next, Luna reached 10 degrees Capricorn, the degree of the transiting Lunar Nodes at 10 Gemini-North/10 Sagittarius-South. Gemini is the sign associated with the natural third house of the zodiac and is the natural domain of automobiles. Mercury, ruler of the Gemini North Node, is in partnership Libra, which describes that two people (Gemini) were in partnership (Libra) and chose the method of delivery (Gemini is transport) to contain the message (Mercury ruler) of a car exploding (Mercury conjunct natal Mars in square to Uranus) as a real and symbolic message of global (Mercury-Mars in trine to Neptune) rage.
By the time Luna reached 12 Capricorn, the degree of Indonesia's lunar nodes, the bombers had smashed their vehicle through the club killing 180 people.
