U.S. Supreme Court: Stay of Execution

"Asked how the Gore team would respond if the justices ruled in Bush’s favor, Boies said that would represent “the end of it. ... Their voice is final. They have the power to decide this.” -- December 10, 2000. David Boies, lead counsel for Al Gore, on Tim Russert's "Meet the Press." MSNBC

U.S. Supreme Court Stops Recount, December 9, 2000, 2:45 pm EST +5:00, Washington, D.C., 38N54, 077W02, Ascendant 13 Taurus. Note: Ascendant and Midheaven for this chart are the same as for Inauguration 2001.

You'd have to wonder if the ballot counting would take place at all when considering the void of course Moon of December 9, 2000. Of course, the U.S. Supreme Court's "Stay of Execution" was issued on a void Moon, as well. However, the Moon's position at "void" was 26 Taurus-Caput Algol conjoined to Al Gore's natal Venus (and Lieberman's Uranus). Whenever Al's "Time Lords" (Moon-Saturn) are impacted by transit, things go badly for him.

Uranus's wide square to Saturn in the chart seems indicative of the number of split decisions rendered from both Courts, and since the chart angles for the "Stay" decision and Inauguration 2001 are the same, I'm fairly convinced that the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling early next week will set in motion the chilling conditions that will deliver a Pandora's Box of dangers to the next president of the United States.

We've already seen how the South Node in the 9th house of law (15 Capricorn) operates as the "Status Quo Antes" factor (see, Martin/Seminole County Rulings.) Hence, the U.S. Supreme Court's "Stay" isn't surprising, but it is depressing (Saturn). Symbolically, Chief Justice William Rehnquist's conservative bias shows up by virtue of his natal Pluto's conjunction to George W. Bush's Sun. Transiting Pluto is in orb of a conjunction with Rehnquist's Ascendant and natal Jupiter (13 and 14 Sag, respectively). I'll leave you with this. Rehnquist's Moon is 16 Scorpio which conjoins Inauguration 2001's Mars in square to Uranus (and opposite Saturn) in the 7th house of open enemies. This week's "final" decision is the one that sets the incendiary stage for January 20, 2001. Unless David Boies (Gore's attorney) can pull one of the conservative justices to the other side (Rehnquist, Kennedy, Scalia, Thomas, O'Connor), I sense that December 9th's void Moon sounded the death knell for Al Gore.

Stay tuned. . . this story is developing.
