Pakistan: Republic
Commentary
Nick Campion in his "Book of World Horoscopes" reports: "Pakistan is the centre of some of the oldest political civilization in the world. The cities of Monhenjo-Daro had proper planned streets and plumbing and drainage systems in 2,000 BC. However, Pakistan never existed as a political unity until independence from the British in 1947. . . The horoscope for the proclamation of the Republic of Pakistan . . . was 'created' in a thirty-minute ceremony on the morning of 23 March 1956 in Karachi at 7:00 a.m. and the proclamation was read at 7:05 a.m. . . .In view of the frequent use made of astrologers by Pakistani politicians, it is likely that this time was elected astrologically."
